Martin Miranda Vargas is a portrait painter and instructor. Raised in Arequipa, Peru, he graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 2015 before expanding his artistic journey in Europe. His classical training was refined at the prestigious Florence Academy of Art, where he deepened his appreciation for traditional techniques. However, his artistic evolution reached new heights at the Barcelona Academy of Art, where he graduated in 2022. This institution played a pivotal role in shaping his contemporary approach, blending classical foundations with modern perspectives.

Currently based in Barcelona, he is both an educator and a practicing artist, passionate about portraiture and exploring identity through art. His work focuses on capturing the vibrant queer scene in Barcelona, reflecting on themes of belonging, self-expression, and the intersection of personal and collective identities. Through his portraits, he aims to discover his place in the city and the world, blending classical foundations with a contemporary lens.
